Sodium Percarbonate

Sodium percarbonate

Sodium percarbonate (SPC) is the latest addition to our bleaching product family.

Also known as solid hydrogen peroxide, SPC is an addition of hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate. It provides a stable source of alkaline hydrogen peroxide ideal for household applications.

Key Benefits

Designed to be an effective oxidizing bleach agent, sodium percarbonate serves as an environment-friendly alternative to chlorine bleach. Compared with sodium perborate, SPC can produce more oxygen and offer higher solubility at room temperature. SPC provides powerful cleaning, bleaching, sterilizing, deodorizing and stain removal capabilities.

Common Applications

End uses for sodium percarbonate include household stain remover, laundry detergent, and all fabric bleach.

Hazards

The product itself is not combustible but contacts with combustible substances may cause ignition. When involved in a fire or exposed to high temperature, SPC may decompose to yield oxygen and steam. Decomposition in confined spaces may lead to over-pressuring and bursting of the container.

Storage and handling

Store the product in a cool and dry place and protect it from direct sunlight. Keep away from heat sources and reactive products like acids and reducing agents. Avoid any contact with water and humidity. Do not stack over 10 bags high. Do not store the product hermetically. Never return spilled product into original packing due to risk of decomposition.
